Who'll be there?
All of the University of Melbourne's 20 Graduate Schools will be presenting their courses at the Expo, with professional staff in attendance to explain the application process, while academic staff will be on hand to talk you through options, and how the courses on offer match your needs.
There will also be staff who can advise you about pursuing a research graduate degree — either at Masters or PhD level — if you're hoping to take your career in an academic or research direction.
Who should attend?
- Anyone with a first degree (undergraduate) who is thinking of upgrading their qualifications or looking to change direction.
- Students who have just completed a bachelors degree or other undergraduate qualification who are considering graduate study options.
More and more, employers are looking for people who've demonstrated commitment to their chosen field or profession, and who have that 'extra' level of insight. A graduate degree can help distinguish you from your peers.
Graduates from the University of Melbourne are highly regarded by employers, who consider students with a Melbourne qualification work-ready, self-directed learners who have both breadth and depth to their education – especially if they've completed a Melbourne undergraduate degree.
Coupled with a professional qualification or graduate degree, you'll impress as a polished, confident, analytical and self-motivated individual.
If you're ready to stand out and step up, a graduate degree is probably right for you.
The University of Melbourne's graduate schools offer a suite of coursework programs providing professional entry into your career and professional development for that extra boost when you're already working.
The design of our courses means our graduates have strong connections with community and industry for a truly professionally relevant education.
Students have opportunities to study overseas and are supported to develop strong intercultural communication skills and a cross-cultural frame of reference. The result is an internationally recognised graduate education and transportable qualifications.
